In a collaborative network of ministries seeking to evangelize and disciple prisoners and their families through the transforming power of Jesus Christ. Cistern partners with dozens of Christian organizations to bring the transforming message of Jesus Christ to children through churches and through in-prison outreach to children in prisons.
We Believe:
- There is one true God, creator of all things, infinitely perfect in love, and righteous in all His ways; and eternally existing in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We hold the Bible to be the Word of God, the infallible rule for faith and practice and our ultimate point of reference. (Hebrews 4:12). - Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, and that He is the only Mediator between God and man. He died on the Cross at Calvary as a sacrifice for our sins. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven where at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He intercedes for his people and rules as Lord over all.
